Tree of Life

In Tree of Life, Alvi Siren brings together a monumental leafless tree and an abundant gathering of fruit in a symbolic composition about endurance, growth, and renewal. The tree dominates the upper half of the canvas, while rounded fruit and vivid green leaves spread across a dark tabletop below, creating a dialogue between branching structure and harvested abundance.

The tree rises left of centre in deep brown, umber, charcoal, and muted olive. A dense network of limbs extends across the pale blue sky, reaching almost every edge of the composition. Light blue-white contours trace sections of the branches, giving the canopy a bold, graphic clarity and emphasising its intricate, vein-like structure.

Behind the tree, broad strokes of powder blue, periwinkle, white, and soft grey create an open atmospheric field. The horizontal movement of the sky contrasts with the angular branching forms, allowing the dark silhouette of the tree to stand forward with strength and permanence.

Across the foreground, approximately nine rounded fruits gather among large green leaves. Red, coral, peach, golden, and yellow-green forms create a warm visual rhythm, while one prominent green-and-gold fruit near the centre introduces a focal point. The foliage is painted in saturated lime, emerald, turquoise, and deep green, its curving stems linking the fruit into a unified arrangement.
