In Green Roses and Apples, Alvi Siren brings fruit, flowers, and foliage together within a compressed, semi-abstract field. Recognisable forms emerge across the canvas, yet none is fully separated from its surroundings. Apples, roses, leaves, lines, and areas of exposed ground remain interconnected within a composition that feels fluid and continually shifting.

Two pale green apples occupy the upper centre, their rounded shapes set against a dense mass of dark emerald foliage. Soft variations of mint, sage, turquoise, and yellow-green give the fruit volume without conventional modelling. Their circular forms introduce a calm visual pause amid the directional movement of the leaves.

Below, a large green rose opens through a spiral of dark, curving strokes. Its pale petals extend into the surrounding foliage, blurring the distinction between flower and background. On the right, a second open bloom and a compact bud repeat the botanical motif in looser, more angular forms.

The left side is dominated by broad leaves painted in saturated emerald, forest green, and flashes of yellow. Their sweeping strokes create depth and momentum, while the paler forms on the right remain more open. Brown linear marks and exposed white canvas cut through this area, resisting a fully enclosed pictorial space.

Across the lower section, warm brown and ochre shapes introduce a strong chromatic counterweight to the greens.
