Lily

In Lily, Alvi Siren magnifies a red flower until the bloom becomes an overwhelming presence. The petals unfold in saturated shades of crimson, scarlet, burgundy, and magenta. Dark lines follow their folds and divisions, while touches of orange and pink introduce warmth and variation. The simplified shapes preserve the flower’s recognisable structure without pursuing botanical precision.

From the dark heart of the lily, slender stamens extend outward in yellow, green, and white. These radiating marks draw attention towards the centre before guiding the eye along the sweeping petals. Small highlights enliven the stamens and intensify the contrast with the surrounding reds.

Long green leaves and unopened buds rise around the bloom, particularly along the left edge and lower part of the painting.
