Green Fruit Composition

In Green Fruit Composition, Alvi Siren transforms clustered fruit and foliage into a bold arrangement of colour, shape, and botanical rhythm. Pale green fruit fills the lower part of the canvas, while dense leaves and branching forms gather above, creating an immersive composition built almost entirely from variations of green.

The fruit is painted in luminous shades of lime, yellow-green, celadon, and soft white. Dark contours define the rounded forms, while curved highlights suggest smooth surfaces catching the light. Some fruits are cropped by the edges of the canvas, extending the arrangement beyond the visible frame and giving the composition a sense of abundance and immediacy.

Above and around the fruit, broad foliage forms create a dense canopy of emerald, olive, and deep forest green. The leaves are rendered through energetic, graphic strokes rather than precise botanical detail. Their layered shapes form a dark structural field against which the paler fruit stands forward with clarity.

A reddish-brown branch crosses the lower-left area, introducing a warm accent within the predominantly green palette. Along the left edge, scattered turquoise marks and splashes add further movement, while areas of visible white ground bring light and openness to the densely arranged forms.

Rather than identifying a particular species, Green Fruit Composition focuses on the visual relationships between fruit, leaf, branch, and space. Through repetition, tonal contrast, and expressive mark-making, Alvi Siren turns the orchard subject into a confident botanical abstraction – fresh, abundant, and alive with layered green colour.
